Returns & Exchanges

Since each piece is handmade to order with care, we kindly ask that you purchase mindfully. We are a two-person small business and returns have a big impact — both financially and creatively. Please carefully read the size chart and review your order before purchasing to avoid any issues.

Your Right to Cancel

If you'd like to cancel and return your order during this time, please email me us at contact@mccarthyjewellery.com with your order number. You’ll need to return the item in unused, original condition, and you are responsible for the return postage.

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it— this is called the cooling-off period.

Once received and inspected, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Items Not Eligible for Return

Please note that some items are exempt from the 14-day return period. These include:

Custom-sized jewellery (e.g. rings made to your requested size)

Made-to-order or personalised pieces

Items marked as Final Sale

Items that have been worn or damaged after delivery

This is in line with UK regulations, which allow exemptions for products that are personalised, made to a customer’s specifications, or made-to-order.

Exchanges

At this time, we do not currently offer exchanges. Each piece is made-to-order or crafted individually, so we are unable to accommodate one-for-one swaps.
